A selection of wines from around the world which we believe provide excellent quality and value and can be drunk either as party wines or at the dinner table, including:
1 Alois Lageder Dolomiti Pinot Grigio 2010 from the Alto Adige region of Italy: if a Pinot Grigio could be described as "steely", then this is it.
1 Giordano Garganega/Pinot Grigio 2009: again from Italy, but much softer and lighter than the one listed above.
1 Giordano Primitivo/Sangiovese 2009: a lovely soft, fruity red blend from Italy.
1 Cortes de Cima Chamine red 2010: a rich, fruity blend of Aragones (Tempranillo) and Syrah from the Alentejo region of Portugal.
1 Cortes de Cima Chamine white 2010: a crisp, dry blend of a number of white grape varieties, including Viognier, Verdelho and Sauvignon Blanc from the Alantejo region of Portugal
1 Opportunist Sauvignon Blanc/Riesling 2010 from the Adelaide Hills region of Australia
1 Opportunist Shiraz 2010 from the McLaren Vale region of Australia
1 Paxton AAA Shiraz/Grenache 2008, again from the McLaren Vale region of Australia, but totally different from Opportunist Shiraz: much more Cotes-du-Rhone style
1 Special Reserve Charles Rennie Macintosh: a rich, fruity blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan from the Cotes du Roussillon region of Sud de France
1 Champagne (tba)
1 Port (tba)
1 Sweet wine (tba)
