This is a special blend from the Lafage estate, near Perpignan in the Cotes du Roussillon region of the South of France. It is named in honour of Charles Rennie Mackintosh who spent the last four years of his life as a full time artist in Roussillon. The grapes for this wine come from the area around Collioure, a beautiful port near the Spanish Border, where Charles Rennie Mackintosh lived during those last four years.
The wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre, with lovely soft, fruity characteristics, reflecting the warmth and the bright colours of the area.
Vin de Pays d'Oc.
